Welcome and well met! We are pleased to have you with us. New members are always welcome.
Our history: This community grew out of the Lord of the Rings fan community of Decipher's Official LOTR Fan Club back in 2001 when the Fellowship of the Ring first came out. When Decipher's forums went down, the community migrated to their own boards, where by community vote the forum was named The Fellowship of Middle-earth. It was first hosted and run by Primula and TrebleMaker, who also ran the LOTRfanclub's archiving site, the Scrapbook, and then later by Daughter of Kings. The current "lotrfellowship' name is from our long term use of the lotrfellowship.com/.net domains that were purchased by members.
Over time the phpbb forums became outdated and we eventually migrated to Dreamwidth at the end of 2016 while our old forums were still mostly functional. This site has now taken on the role of the main "home" for this fan community.
We have creative writing, artists, games and good fellowship while sharing our common love of Tolkien's works and world.
